Letsun
Letsun is a side project I designed and built to help short term rental hosts track profits, expenses, and property performance. As someone who owns a rental property myself, I struggled to find a simple and affordable tool tailored to individual hosts. Most existing platforms were either too expensive or overloaded with features built for larger property managers. That frustration led me to create Letsun, solving my own problem first, and designing a product that could help thousands of other hosts do the same.
01
Problem
Most existing property management and finance tools are either too expensive for individual hosts or overloaded with features designed for large property managers. For hosts managing one or a few properties, tracking true profitability is often fragmented across spreadsheets, booking platforms, and banking apps.
02
Solution
I created Letsun as a simple web-app focused on the metrics that matter most, like income, expenses, occupancy, and ROI. By stripping away unnecessary complexity and designing an intuitive experience, Letsun gives hosts a clear view of their property performance in one place.
03
The initial idea
The initial idea was a simple dashboard where users can add income, expenses, set recurring expenses and import from Excel files and add contributors to specific properties.

04
A fragmented workflow
Short-term rental hosts rely on multiple disconnected tools to manage their business. Booking platforms for revenue, bank accounts for payouts, spreadsheets for expenses, and notes or messaging apps for maintenance. This fragmented setup makes it difficult to understand true profitability and stay on top of property performance.
05
Adding income
Users can quickly log income by selecting a property, entering the booking amount, date, and source of revenue. The flow is designed to be simple and fast, making it easy to keep records up to date and maintain an accurate view of monthly revenue.
06
Adding expenses
Users can easily track one-off or recurring expenses by assigning them to a property, choosing a category, and entering the amount and date.
